What is the Citizens' Right Department about ?

Citizens right department is a Department in the Ministry of Justice Cross river state, Calabar set up for citizens to be aware of there rights against sexual abuse sexual violence and domestic violence and in general other civil matters in disputes which the ministry is open to settle among aggrieved parties or person.

It is a department setup solely to embrace the system of settling disputes out of court litigation between parties through the means of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

What kind of matters can i bring to the office?

Petitions are directed or sent to the Department from the Office of the Honourable Attorney-General and Minister of Justice. Such petitions include among others, i. Landlord/tenant disputes, employer/employee, ii. Domestic violence cases involving husband/wife and children iii. Inheritance disputes, iv. land disputes

How long will it take for them to respond to me ?

What to expect during mediation ?
